There is a so much bureaucracy in Boeing. I know some of it comes with the territory of being a large corporation, but this is too much even for that. The company gives us many different career paths and opportunities, however, in order to reach them we need to go through miles of red tape.
In addition, movement between organizations is stagnant leaving little room to further my career. It seems that once I became settled into my position any possible opportunities i saw as being available have been minimized drastically with each year that goes by. As if that wasn’t enough, any promotions and raises seem to be based more on tenure than merit.
It is a good company to begin a career - but not one to retire from.
