Let’s be honest, DeVry started going downhill when they let every student in who was breathing. Many had no business being in college because they were ill prepared. Deficient in Math, English, Reading, etc. Everyone in Admissions perpetuated this. In all my years working directly with dozens of Admissions Reps and Managers I never heard them say just once that a student should not be enrolled Sad and unethical on every level. I’m sure some Admissions folks will post on here that they had many students they kept from enrolling at DeVry. They are lying just to make themselves feel good.

DeVry does not have any admission standards! They let all potential students in and collect their money!
Yeah, PRIDE was an Admissions event. The so-called best of the best of DeVry employees—the revenue generators—were the salespeople. You’d get to fly off to some other city and they’d put you up in a big hotel with all of these gift baskets, awards, trophies, plaques...it was like going to the Emmies. They only invited a few faculty over the years, reluctantly...tells you where their mentality was if nothing else.
It’s all true. The more your recruited, the more you made, the more accolades were bestowed upon you and the more promotional opportunities were sent your way. This culture trickled down from the highest levels to the campus leaders and admissions offices.
The prestiougious PRIDE event typified this mentality with honoring those who has the highest sales and sale revenue for the year.
Sad thing is that these tactics still exist in all the other Adtalem divisions. The federal government should pay a visit to all these schools regarding recruitment tactics.

They kept track of personal goals and team goals for admissions for bonuses and rewards until NRW came out. After that officially given rewards were banned. Now what happened unofficially no-one knows. I wouldn't be surprised if some people still didn't get some perks somehow.
I seem to recall back in 2011, Admissions folks were given bonuses based on enrollment numbers--am I recollecting that accurately? I believe they reluctantly stopped the practice in 2012-13 or perhaps even later. Indeed, they were praised for high numbers: quality and preparedness (selectivity) had nothing to do with it. DeVry never prized selectivity--it was never part of their DNA.
