At JD ya ha ha ha your tone changed at no layoffs. You said these things are put in place to avoid layoffs hence the TLOW.

I bet you voted no to the last 2 contracts every d rate says they voted no. Now most of us battery plant guys and plus some are out the door on a P-LOW. You are a company blow hard tool. People see you up all of the managements butts when they are on the floor. Ha ha ha

To Stokes and other a-- hat’s, im not a company a-- kisser, i never said Schenectady hrly would go untouched, in fact i was shocked that wasnt first before TLOWS, i voted NO the last 2 contract votes, and NO on 2 tier pay scale. I speak to the union heads directly, not through others or under fake screen names. GE Schenectady has a leadership problem, its known at corporate, but the union hourly workers make it easy on GE, worry more about sticking it in someone elses a-- vs manning up and working for a living! Ive said before, I have nothing to hide, A working life before GE and after GE as well. Crying over the amount one gets paid over another solves nothing. Not working for a living causes a lot of the problems we face today, other than piss pour managment! Hard to believe a vocal majority will ever stand up to anything when it comes to Schenectady, time will tell!!

So no one can plan if they are going home for a while at 75% pay or getting laid off. What a great company!

This company is changing the TLOW numbers. No regard for the human factor of working at GE Power. They ax the pension plan, cut wages, no raises, higher healthcare and now they are changing the numbers on the TLOW. Great company

these t rates complaining about terms they agreed to. If you don't like it leave. you were fine with the pay scale when you were hired.

Don’t worry JD next contact you will lose your nice GE Pension if we still have jobs. Tell you the truth I would like to see you D-rates go out and make $20 an hour if your lucky. So sit hone on your nice cushion tlow and bring home more than a t rate working. It won’t be long before the t rates rise if there is a next contract and screw you d rates over. Karma is a b-/:h. T Rates will rise and D rates will fall. No more percentage raises, no pension, more sell out money for all. Happy New Year JD!

TLOWs are good instead of permanent because they still leave workers in the game.

Big problem is the amount of cost cut targets are huge and will be hard to achieve.

I am afraid that to take $3.5 Billion cost out will wind up making many permanent cuts as the cost structure unfolds. What happens in other parts of Power will affect Schenectady factory floor employment.

Facts are facts Stokes. Hey dont care anymore what peoples opinions are, there like a--holes, we all have them. Im not at my job to kiss a--, screw off so idiots like me, im at a job to work amd earn a living. You must be one of those work harder not working vs doing your job, so a guy like me that works for a kiving drives you nuts. This isnt the first tlow in schenectady in the last 10 yrs, wont be the last either. There is a reason there are provisions in every contract to deal with these, its a simple buisness plan to deal with slow times. Believe what ya want, prior to social media folks like you had no platform to run your mouth on, let alone hide behind a b---s--- screen name! Merry Christmas jack off, oh and happy new year!!

JD your a company a$$ blow hard! Oh your a d-rate that’s right! The problem is no one cares well ok maybe 5% of the T rates do care other than that not many do.

The way the company treated the floor the past 2 years and now they need us to be top performers to bail out those managers who treated us like slaves and crap. JD you and your managerial a$$ kissing a$$ can bite me. JD you just went full Retard again!

Temporary lack of works are just the company's way of finding out how much they can get done with fewer people. Once they see they don't need you, they will become permanent. Good Luck, and start saving your pennies.

T.L.O.W. Stands for Temp. Lack of Work. Your out of work for a temp amount of time , with the expectation of a return date set up in advance.

What's a TLOW for those not in manufacturing but still on this sinking ship?

can't trust a guy that sugar coated everything in regards to battery shutting down for almost 6 months well saying at the same time no one was getting laid off.

Ive read things in this site on and off for a little over a year now. Some things are almost humorous to read. Some things are typed with almost no comprehension of the situation being discussed. Today I decided to write a post based on a discusion this am with our 301 Buisness agent. I told Rob to his face, speaking the truth and being honest is a great quality to have, the main reason I and millions of others like Trump so much, he tells it like it is without suger coating because of worry of someones feelings! Those truly effected by our current work load situation know the facts as well as they could be inderstood based on what the company has told us. We also know, if we have been paying attention, what the work load is for 2018 into the start of 2019. We cant fix whats been screwed up to get us to todays situation. We damn well can have a hand in making sure our future is much beter than the past! Spreading stupid rumors on social media or on the shop floor gains no one anything! Thats a fact! Grow a set and type your name on your post here going foreword, maybe you will be surprised to find out you could be part of the solution instead of part of the problem!! Merry Christmas to all, and Happy New Year as well to each and everyones family’s as well!!

Your reply makes no sense. I said that if they were to do perm. l/offs now they wouldn't bother with tlows now.

perm layoff or tlow you'd still get iea, if they want to save money they will lay us off 30 days prior to getting the bribe bonus then they don't have to pay out as wes be considered inactive employees

They would go directly to a perm. lay-off instead of paying for TLOWS first. That would save the company money.

Cost cutting financial targets will determine what happens regarding lay offs.

Unfortunately what was 2 billion in cost cuts last week turned into 3.5 billion necessary.

This will not be easy to achieve, and to be effective will start in Q1

Its all about the money and GE is under huge pressure because of gross mismanagement of power

Regarding permanent layoffs:

Why wouldn't they just do permanent layoffs right now and save from the 1/23, $2250 payouts and all the TLOW IEA PAYOUTS if they were going to do those permanent layoffs?

Makes no sense.

I say black you say white! A prime example why some shouldnt be allowed internet access! Keep spreading the horse sh--, walk with eyes closed, ears covered and mouth wide open!! Facts are facts, no hourly are gonna be permanent layed off, the amount of work beyond 1st quarter in Schenectady proves what will happen in 2018! Merry Christmas, dont work search half hearted, folks like you not coming back in April will only help us succeed easier in the future!!

You've been given the wrong info, no permanent layoff meetings to be had in Schenectady scheduled as of today! Doesn't mean it could happen in the future, This really isn't any different than the last 2 yrs when there has been temp lack of works in a cple diff areas. It will all work out in the end for everyone in Schenectady 301 anyways!!!

You left out a lot of areas that are going starting Dec 29th, also your length of total TLOW is off a bit. Get someone to show you the entire agreement and post it here. Regarding permanent layoffs, nothing hourly, arguably there isnt enough manpower to do the work we have for 2018 all together, so no permanent layoffs in Schenectady!!
