Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

It’s simply obscene...

The Wall-Street-beloved Meg Whitman laid off thousands of employees during her tenure (destroying countless families), and also destroyed the legacy of Hewlett and Packard - with Antonio Neri chartered to finish the remaining dirty work.

I get furious when I see articles rewarding and praising her for the “amazing ROI” to investors during the last years. She ended up so well that she doesn’t even know where to spend her money, so now she is bidding to own a Professional Major League Soccer team. I am so mad right now that the only think that can come from my mouth is saying that all of this is simply obscene...

Best of luck Grasshopper. As ye sow so shall ye reap.

"Please tell us how you think HPE is doing great"

Don't let the condescending kids get to you. Someday they will be older and it will be their turn to get lectured by youngsters on why they are worthless losers.

"Considering the employees just sit around and complain and they don’t make products anyone wants, I think HPE is doing great. You guys all act like anyone can make billions of dollars."

Please tell us how you think HPE is doing great so that I can feel better about being laid off after 35 years of faithful service and hard work.

It is hard to read all the reasons why it is a terrible place to work and align with the fact that no one leaves voluntarily, so since Xtuons speak louder thb words, it must not be that bad. Maybe people just like to b--ch anonymously.

Money is the root of all evil and is becoming the root of all happiness in the United States. When the high tech bubble finally bursts, and it will, it won't be pretty. This is because we are robbing Peter to pay the cloud which consists of a few high tech companies that are rapidly becoming monopolies. They no longer need the likes of HPE, IBM, Cisco, Dell, etc. I agree that HPE is probably the best of the worst and with full blown computers the size of a pack of cigarettes that can be clustered together makes it really easy to blame CEOs that couldn't see that one day everything would be about coding instead of expensive and big margin hardware. This is why HPE cloud solutions haven't gained traction and probably never will.

I am so glad that I don’t need to deal with this crap anymore. My whole career (12 years) was with HPI/HPE before I was kicked out, so it wasn’t until I started working in another Industry before I really understood how screwed up HPE was (and that they are not alone). The whole IT hardware/services industry is a big mess, but somehow HPE manages to be the best of the worse. I now feel pity for my old peers and for any other good souls being there. There are some people with valid excuses for being trapped on that s—t, but the whole majority doesn’t really need to go through that crap. Wake up! It’s about time...
