Thread regarding DeVry Inc. layoffs

CLASS ACTION SUIT

IT WAS MENTIONED BY OUR DIVISION LEADER THAT SHE KNEW ABOUT THE TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP FOR OVER 10 MONTHS AND WAS HAPPY THAT SHE COULD FINALLY TALK ABOUT IT IN PUBLIC. THIS MEANS THAT BEHIND ALL OF WARDELL'S "WE ARE ADTALEM" PEP TALKS, SHE HAS BEEN DECEPTIVE. NOW, ALL DEVRY EMPLOYEES FACE UNCERTAINTY.

A CLASS ACTION SUIT NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT AGAINST LISA WARDELL, ALL DIVISION LEADERS, AND ADTALEM FOR DAMAGES BOTH EMOTIONAL AND PROBABLY FINANCIAL -ESPECIALLY IF LAYOFFS ARE IN THE FUTURE.!

DeVry's demise started when Dennis Keller made Daniel Hamburger the CEO of the company! DH made tons of money! He led the demise of the company! he took his golden parachute...and gone!

They lacked credentials to be running higher education schools; Look at LW credentials! Zip zero zilch!

Shame on RT for remaining silent on the board for so long and let the titanic hit the iceberg!

They sold DeVry dirt cheap! Someone made tons of $$$$$$!

I understand the need for confidentiality...but the managers? I have no pity for them.

...except any manager or Senior "Leader". They know and have known what is going on.

No they don't. They are mostly in the dark, even directors.

They are allowed to spin off a business unit, and keep their plans secret. I agree that it’s been mind-numbingly stressful along the way, but in a way they are doing DeVry a favor. All of the burden of deceit and manipulation now rests squarely on the shoulders of ATGE, aka corporate. They were the monsters, not us.

Oh, I have no doubts that DVU will be trashed to nearly nothing within the next few years. But in some small way, especially if they rebrand us, this allows us to die with a tiny shred of dignity that we wouldn’t have otherwise had. It’s a fresh start, even if it’s toward the same grave that we were already headed to. Some tiny part of DeVry might live on with a new name. And hey, it’s better than an immediate shutdown. Now is a great time to apply for any other job that you can possibly think of. I am pissed that I will probably have to take a non-teaching job, but that’s the reality of what we are looking at. Leave now because the rest of it are salready working on it.

Sadly, you're a moron. You should have left years ago. The writing has been on the wall for seven years.

It was once a leader in career education. It’s too bad it was run into the ground by Hamburger and Co. Wardell didn’t have a prayer of turning it around by the time she arrived.

Haaaaa this is almost like one of those TV shows, like Punk'ed or Pranksters. I feel bad for anyone still working there, except any manager or Senior "Leader". They know and have known what is going on. Your "manager" is out for themselves, not you. They're so fake it's crazy. They will look you dead in the eye and lie to you, only to gain whatever it is they want.

It's a crap company that exists ONLY to make money off students and the military for shareholders. Most states are at will employment so you really cannot sue.
