On Dec 5th of last year my husband was laid off. We just had a working visa and had to leave in 60 days . Last X'mas was the worse holiday we've ever had. Fortunately , my husband found a new job and new company gave him stock and other benefits . Everything is fine right now. Just let you guys know that being laid off is not the end of the world.

Agreed, I'm with a new company, better vacation policy (5 weeks cap), stock options, better medical, about the same pay. New and exciting industry. Getting WFR is a blow - no doubt, but there is life outside of HPE. Have a good holiday season - trust in yourself and focus on your family.
But it puts unimaginable stress on families with children especially when there is only a single wage earner.
People develop blood pressure and diabetes due to such repeated stress.
