Heard there was a new round of corp layoffs. Could be in both Framingham and Lincolnshire. Can anyone confirm?

more virtuous employees have been driven off. what's left are those who can be threatened or scared into conforming with questionable practices. so now Sycamore is at the doorstep to do house cleaning.

integrity breeds success but there's not much of it left at Staples.
the fool is the guy still working at staples for dishonest managers who tell themselves that they're "only following orders". I enjoy the blow-by-blow description as it all slowly unravels. :)

Was there a severance package? I have heard that there is more coming and I am concerned it is in my area. I heard there is only 3 weeks for severance.

Since when is a "private equity" firm not heartless? Good God.... wake up man! Private Equity firms are as heartless as they come. It is all about squeezing out every possible dollar in a short term investment. Do your research and you will find, private equity firms have no soul whatsoever. They could give a flying fu@& about anyone's "family".
AND I think a sycmorian is on this site, message for you now. Be human, if u layoff folks, don't send them empty handes, 3 weeks of severance for 18 years of service, that's just wrong. Come on now, that ain't cool at all. Know these people have families to support. We get it, things will need to change, but don't do the very ppl that labored their lives for Staples that way. Give them a little cushion as they transition out. Be kind now ppl.
There are many more lay off's in the works- I can guarantee you that.
I doubt there are any more layoffs. Sycamore would have done it all by now. It's time to get to work and make some money for their investment. If they were going to layoff people they would have done it way before now. It's almost the holiday season and that would be heartless.
