Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Lots of layoffs today in the USA

In addition to me being laid off today, with 25+ years I heard of many others across the USA.

I got WFR notice on 27th October. The new management is going ruthless, more so in the telecom sector. They make mistakes at the higher levels and we pay the price in US. They can't layoff people in France. I wonder what would be the response from present government. Does someone cares about the existing customers?

Meanwhile Meg and Antonio sell of Palo Alto, move into the shiny orange offices of Aruba. You have to wonder when the chaos will invade that location as well

Many Pointnext people were notified a week ago Monday.

Actually, use of the term "dumpster fire" indicates that one was brought up dirt-poor, in the far north, where we used dumpster fires to keep us warm! Also (as is well known), we'd have to walk through the deep snow, to get to school and back, and it was UPHILL, in both directions!

If you think that's impossible? Well, we'd have these daily mid-day earthquakes that would tilt the roads in opposite up-down directions, each day!

What is not at all well known is, we were SOOOOO utterly poor, we ate roach stew and wore rat-fur coats!

As soon as Meggot has ALLLLL of the money and power, it's gonna be like this again, so get ready!

"Dumpster Fire" ... Has to be from someone in the Eastern USA, or Midwest. Millennials don't know what trash is, California had my sh*t don't stink. LOL. Way to go Maggot and Minions. Happy Friday! Good Luck to All! Anyone can post, "trollers"... whatever. Good Luck to All!

It's wise to make your management think you are loyal but always look out for #1 and don't assume they are loyal to you or can protect you even if they are loyal.

WFR is often down to just being on the wrong spreadsheet and nothing more. They can't stop it.

Dumpster Fire....that is all this is, a dumpster fire. Glad I am not an FTE, most FTE's at 3PAR are stroking out on the floor waiting to hear their next in the line of fire. Truly the worst decision of my career to take a contract here. I pity the FTE that think company loyalty goes both ways. Get out if you can!!

It's amazing the quantity of employees (that I'm personally aware of) with more than 20 years of service that have been laid off in the last 6 months. I "prefer" trying to believe this was not about age discrimination - but "roles optimization" -, but it is really difficult to digest....

Healthy skepticism is good, but your intent of question by trying to imply the OP is lying, is disingenuous. If you want you believe the postings, do so, if not quit reading the postings on this blog.

I heard there are 9 'waves' leading to Jan and Feb. I got notified 2 weeks ago, after being here 20 years, 1 months before I am eligible for retirement. That is the way they pay you back!

It is absolutely still happening in November. For all still employed by HPE, best have a plan B if you still need to work.

I heard of none at Ft. Collins, Palo-Alto, Houston, and Roseville. You must just a one-timer. Besides, 25+ years and you did not see this coming? You are lucky that you did not get laid off 5 years ago.

Anybody 20+ years and still around, if you are not doing the work of at least 2 local FTE's or 5 in India, you need to be ready to get notified anytime. Survivors need to make it through at least December 4 if Meg follows the same pattern as last year where there were no further WFR notices in December, not until the after Christmas holiday break.

When will it end?! Because I remember them (Meg, Antonio, and whoever else) saying on the morning of Sept 11 (what a tone deaf and poor choice of timing to announce) that they were starting HPE Next, and to expect changes for the next 6 weeks, which would have been the end of October. Now that its Q1 of the new Fiscal Year and this is still happening...... WTF about having any amount of confidence or moral in your workforce. I'm starting to think on the themes of the other comments that this is all just stock manipulation and purposely moving some "expenses" of the layoffs into a new FY, but at the least, this is just a continued and endless slaughterhouse.
