Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

Well, It Was Nice While It Lasted

Just confirmed through more then one source, all but three campus locations will be closed. They are listed in an earlier post. These campuses are factual and correct.

Admissions and FA will be released this week. Others will be provided additional time based on teach-out needs.

I’m doubtful about a closure announcement. Can’t imagine the new guy from CEC would have come if decision already made to shut things down. I still think it is inevitable. The mismanagement from admissions to finance to marketing to provost is shocking. The reason many of us stay is because we make 6 figures doing very little. I’m working on an advanced degree. I can study during the day while getting paid. I’m not proud but I’m also not stupid.

-bjj your post is well reasoned, but there is one glaring issue. You are giving ecmc Finance way more credit than justified. That group is more incompetent than admissions and that is saying something. They could not forecast sales at a lemonade stand.

It's a possibility but nothing is for certain until it happens. Unless this person knows or is related to someone higher up in the chain that is part of this decision making. There has been a lot of speculation lately because we haven't been enrolling students, however this was originally in the plans. If everyone recalls, they held the meeting saying that we were going to stop enrollments with Everest and put a pause on enrollments so we can later start on the right foot with the new rebranded name. With that, they said they had forecasted in the budget to keep us afloat (I believe till the end of the year - 100% certain on this). The major issue is the accreditation which we are having issues obtaining. It could call for them to revisit the idea and decide to close us down for the time being or just throw in the towel. It's hard to tell at this point. I do believe they already know what they are going to do. The decisions been made. We will just have to wait it out...for hopefully some positive news or possibly negative. Let's all just pray and hope for the best. Losing a job right now would be horrible.
