Aflac is plagued by lousy management that is stuck in the past... They cultivate frat like mentality and disrespect anybody who is not a part of good old boys' club... They know very little about the job they're supposed to be doing, so don't expect to get proper training from them... But they will expect you show up for every meeting and awards ceremony you are not being paid for, of course... The entire management needs to be replaced... The sooner the better...

Those "leaders" who say they started in the call center--what BS. They came into the company meant for a larger role and did a phony stint in the call center for a year or less. We're tired of hearing it
Most top management were put in place by their age and whether the CEOs son liked them. They were to "grow up" with the son to take over the company one day. Didn't work out as the son was a screw up and was too much of a philanderer and was incompetent. Now all that management is in place and incompetent. They in turn hired managers under them that were incompetent. It becomes a vicious repeating cycle. Leave now while you can.
I totally agree management is a joke. I really don't understand how some mamagers and executives are able to obtain and maintain their current position or other positions they have held. I suspect many of them have had to do unspeakable acts. I work in a dept where we have no goals or metrics but we have to complete the annual self appraisal reviews. The reviews are total B.S. it's all about whether you Managers like you and considers you their friend aka a "yes" person. They love to tell the story of the customer service employee who rose up through the ranks and is now a part of the managment team. Its not only management that has taken one for the team, lol. You read whatever you want into my last satement. Most of the my co-workers have too. You can't trust the people you work with.
Management operates out of fear, which is then passed down to their teams. Most officers have minimal experience in the specific BUs they oversee.
