I understand where the old "customer is always right" adage comes from, but I think it's time we say enough is enough. No matter what the customer does, the manager'll side with them, making the rest of us look like idiots. And I mean anything, including being completely belligerent towards us and lying through their teeth about what happened. We lose so much money in products we give away to people who have simply learned to game the system. We'll lose nothing if a "customer" like that decides not to come to the store anymore. Actually, we'll gain in the end. When will enough be enough?

That stinks watching customers gaming the system coming in there with STACKS of $25 customer satisfaction gift cards to pay for their groceries. I worked with one tier 1 that didn't give a crap how wrong the customer was and how right we were about the customer being wrong, this individual flat out gave them the gift card. It was the same people too complaining for the stupidest reasons and this particular manager, not wanting to hear what happened, would automatically give that person one. I had one of the repeat complainers complain about me checking her coupons which was part of my job and I got in trouble for doing something I was trained for.
Typical 1st Tier Mentality!
