Thread regarding Genentech Inc. layoffs

I used to love working at Genentech. In some ways I still do, but that mostly has to do with good benefits. The rest has gone downhill, and it looks like it will proceed in that direction. Our processes are getting more outdated by the day, but nobody is doing anything to rectify that. That's hardly a surprise, considering that the management we have has been where it is for a while, and they have no desire to change anything. Speaking up about things will not change anything, either, no matter what HR says. What it will bring is consequences for you, including possibly being fired. This is sad, really. If those running the company took the time to listen to employees who do the actual work instead of the management which wants to preserve the status quo we might actually move forward again.
