I must have applied for almost a dozen positions over the weekend. I REALLY REALLY REALLY HATE the fact I have to work here. My goal is to be out by years end if I can.

Unfair labor practice strike ???? Didn’t the Union mess up by ordering the strike a few days too early ??? Granted U guys didn’t have a contract but damn all this time and money lost .. I am sorry to say the way it looks Spectrum will have U guys on strike forever or until you all give UP
Union is not going to ever come back !!! They have hired plenty of Scabs that are already trained to do your Jobs ,,, keep fooling yourselves into thinking the union cares about U and your Family !!! It’s beyond evident that they don’t care !!! No TV ads , nothing in the Press about your strike !!! So keep on with your fight while you lose all your belongings and your jobs !!! It’s clearly a losing battle ....
It's funny how people who are not part of this fight know better then the ones who are involved. It is an UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE STRIKE, look that up. The jobs some are not going back to are jobs the company outsourced, design, warehouse, dispatch. The company can not replace someone on strike by a scab. The scabs will fill positions left over and they will have to join the union, not the other way around. Keep fooling yourself with ignorance and call it knowledge.
Its been almost 8 months. If the union didnt mess up, then those guys would be back right now. They have no support with all that vandalism theyve caused. Like people really aint hip to the fact they they've been cutting cables. They have no leg to stand on. Yea the union will come back but the guys on strike will only be filling in what spots are left going by seniority. The union already said that they couldnt guarantee their guys their jobs back. Whats that say? Shame on scabs for earning an opportunity to support their families and feed their kids. How could they? How could they have more loyalty towards their family then a union?

They are guaranteed A job....not the job they left. I wouldn't do it just for the unknown. I also have some dignity not to cross that line. If I got let go, that's one thing. I have a job, it s---s but it doesn't make it right to cross that line and be a scab

Just some food for thought all those guys on strike are guaranteed there jobs back when the strike ends. Then you'll be part of the union and the low man on the pole no pun intended and that huge pay increase you were given to be a scab there not going to keep all that money on the payroll so if they don't release you when the strike is over it will only be a matter of time. Unions go by seniority.
I'm there, I'm thrilled. Staying late will cover the ez-pass. And not everyone gets that privilege. Tons of people commute to the city for work. Bills need to get paid, kids need to be fed. The union isn't even a thought anymore. If you know someone who left optimum for spectrum ask them to help you get in.... The window is closing.

most of the guys that will go back are not going back to their old positions. You need to realize though, THOSE Union's don't play games. There are a lot of guys that are uneasy about working there. Yea the money is great but that will end.....well, the money will stay but you'll lose your ezpass. You'll be paying $15 each way over the GWB.....there's your difference in pay. I know guys that are being followed by Spectrum techs daily......I dunno, I don't think it's worth it
