Finally managed to leave Staples for greener pastures two weeks ago. I got sick and tired of the way management was treating us and the unreasonable expectations they put on us. How hard is it to understand that "one model fits all" can't work across the entire country. You can't expect that a Georgia store achieves same results as, for example, a California store. That's just not realistic and we are not failures if we can't make it happen. I wish everybody who is still there good luck. Try to find something else, I did , and I am so much happier right now.

They do think its a one size model... You see this when they say every store in the same city regardless of sales volume and traffic count has the same goal amount of cell phone repairs, item of the week, pen of the month etc. the list goes on. Its one thing if its a percentage goal but there should never be say... a 7mm store with any individual unit goal the same as a 4mm store, you are either ok'ing the larger volume store to under achieve or setting the smaller store up to fail.

There isn't a one size fits all model. Unless you are talking about rate metrics, which should be the same, the metrics for a low traffic store are very different from a high traffic store.
I agree with the one model Does NOT fit all...thanks for pointing it out. But am sure they wont be hearing it...
