Seriously, I can't remember the last time we were not given an unrealistic deadline and didn't end up with very frustrated at best and pissed off at worst clients. Why promise something that can't be achieved to get a client just to lose that same client because you can't fulfill what you promised? Makes no sense...

@Q2dD8x0-1vyv - agreed! You deserve a promotion. The rest of y'all need to stop B****ing! P!$$$ or get off the pot!
The recent 'news/rumors' of layoffs at HPE have been a great tool to create voluntary attrition that saves the company a ton of money rather than paying layoff packages. Brilliant strategy to force the weak hands out....for me....they have to pay me to go.
Griping here also fills a prime moral imperative that many decent humans feel: Treat other people the way you want to be treated. If ZRQ549 Corporation treats its employees as if they were lower than dirt, I, for one, sure hope that ZRQ549 Corporation employees will show up here in DROVES, here, complaining, so that I can do simple internet research, and avoid hiring on at ZRQ549 Corporation!
So it's rather simple, actually...
"This is surely the best place to bring up your concerns. "
Absolutely, factually correct, as compared to complaining to either HPE management or HPE HR, has been my experience! Blowing off steam on this web site does NOT advance you on the "hit list" for the next layoffs, is the one primary advantage here!
This is surely the best place to bring up your concerns. I can’t imagine why HPE feels a need to layoff anyone. Its completely normal and productive to visit a layoff website to discuss business operational issues.
Setting unobtainable targets would appear to be a setup for WFR with cause.
Someone already said it very succinctly, but I will add this is shotgun sales. load up bird shot and fire into the sky and see what you hit. Works great as long as objects are still flying across the skies you are standing under.
Unrealistic deadlines (and goals) are given to EVERYONE! "Go ye and colonize the moon, and here is your five-dollar budget. Get it done by noon."
Why? So that no one has met their goals, and so that laying off ANYONE and EVERYONE can be done, and justified, at the drop of a hat. AND, since your layoff is now justified, they are hoping to intimidate you into NOT suing them for some kind of discrimination.
If, after laying you off, for not colonizing the moon, they near-immediately post a job opening for the job you just got laid off from, and the new opening (typically for a younger person) is a near-exact match for the job you just vacated, apply for the "new" job! Then when they turn you down or ignore your application, THEN you can threaten to sue, with pretty much an open-and-shut case in your favor!
