Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Repenting my decision to join HPE

The worst decision I have ever taken in my life was to join HPE. I was working for a great company with high employee morale. I am repeating for leaving such a good company and stick here in HPE with fear of job loss.

I see few jobs coming here to Bangalore. But also there are head count reductions in many teams. Contractors sent out. No one understands what exactly they are working on, no clear goal, no guidance from management.

Projects are undertaken for sake of doing projects and without intentions. Very few have customer oriented approach. Most of the employees morale have reduced to great extent that they have lost trust in company and I see them busy browsing job portals. Lost trust with our managers in US.

I agree - BOO HOO. Everyone knows most India jobs over the last 5-10 years were a result of someone in the US (or Canada, or even Brazil), losing theirs. Now you are at risk, and don't trust US managers? You should find another job if you are so unhappy.

I lost my US job a year ago to Costa Rica. I do not blame Costa Rica, it's managers or even the US managers. I only blame a changing industry, and bad executive leadership at HPE.

It's easier to get a better job while employed. Spend your time getting paid by HPE while looking for something better, and leave when that right opportunity comes up. HPE is on the road to nowhere...

As long as you are employed for more $$$, then you can't repent. You did the right thing.
