Is this for real? I mean if we'll cut a few hundred people why do we still have 200 positions open and advertised? Is Citrix ETL gone mad? Why is this happening???

@aow - +1 on that. Citrix is all about hiring foreign workers, getting them GreenCards, and promoting them. I used to work at Citrix - had the best education in my team, best experience (both time-wise and relevant), yet H1Bs were given all visibility. Glad I got out of the s* that's Citrix last year and joined a much, much better and rewarding company in the valley
For the real number of open positions at Citrix, go to the Citrix Careers website. With the hiring freeze in full effect, anything posted likely can't be filled.
Sites like Glassdoor keep not-actually-available reqs of major companies up on their site year-round to entice more jobseekers to register and enter their personal info their website's database.
