It is real. Hundreds of small empty boxes have been delivered to Citrix offices.

Well - I am the one that created this thread warning about the boxes. I now have a box with my name on it for tomorrow. See you on the other side.
Boxed in
I guess when we arrive at the office tomorrow boxes will be lined up - AGAIN.
I am standing in SC shipping and there are no boxes! Where are the boxes!!!
Personal info not allowed here, site rules. Just sayin'
Hundreds of small empty boxes have been delivered to Citrix offices.
I'm not surprised. Thinking inside the box has been the hallmark of current mgmt - the cloud brothers.
You must have the same directorr I had. Or, they're all this bad.
I too hope my director gets the cut. He is fake; a h--kers smile is more genuine than him.
He hires people to work out plans, but doesn't accept advice from people below him.
He only promotes a-- kissers, and not the people that are actually skilled/talented.
He gets by because people above buy into his con. I hope someone above can see through it.
I'm hoping that my former manager actually gets one up the box this time around ...
@1amu and a regular paycheck you slacker
I gave my life to Citrix and all I got was this lousy box.
Maybe it’s just a case of balls to the wall...
can we start a trend of signing boxes like year books?
Only an engineer can reason like @vpx does
Kudos and two big thumbs up
New meaning to the old "VDI in a box"
I'm a remote employee. A box would be as useful as SecureMail.
Work from anywhere... until we change our minds.
I have been given information from a VP that the majority of remote employees are on the chopping block.
@Pye3lB2-vpx, I do not know who you are, but I love you.
oh well

When I was affected, they sent a meeting notice for a required meeting in a conference room the next morning. There were 6 - 7 other people there at the same time. Some exec read the script and an HR person was there as witness, I guess, and to facilitate paperwork. At another site I worked closely with, two meeting notices went out: Room A was OK, while Room B was bye-bye!
Meaning if your manager or director is not in your office.
All the main conference rooms are booked. Remote people will probably be sent an email with an invitation. If you get one, your time is up.
anyone know the value of the boxes? Will the value be deducted from and settlement figure or am I ok to take 2 if I need to.
Also, will I need to declare the box for tax purposes?
LOL. Sense of humor is the only way I can make it through these layoffs and stay sane. This is about the 10th one I've been through at Citrix.
think they will come with a sticker on the side that says "Citrix Cloud in a box"
Remote employees will get their virtual box on Citrix cloud...
I'm remote. No cube or office to clean out. Guess I'll just go get a beer.
The boxes come with a Citrix cloud sticker on th side
The Offices in the UK have survived the past few redundancies with relatively small losses. I don’t think there will be any UK redundancies.
How do those boxes look? We talking corrugated, reinforced cardboard here? Who has the deets...
I have surgery Wednesday morning. Will they inform me of my layoff by phone after the anesthesia wears off?
This thread escalated quickly
I feel boxed in.
Cleaned my cube already.
Ready to move on.
Godspeed!
Has anyone got his box yet?
Not in EMEA, we just get the email and then the 2 month consultation process, where we get paid to do f’all for 2 months and then get the package at the end.
They don’t do the whole cardboard box thing in EMEA normally.
FTL, RAL, SJC confirmed. I do not have any sources in EMEA or APAC.
saw hundreds of boxes in the shipping department in the santa clara offices. looks like they are staging them for something...
The email will probably start with "As the next evolution step of the company" or "To improve our competitive position in the marketplace"
Well, judging by the boxes, October 4th will officially be a Citrix Global Day of Impact.
