Thread regarding Newpark Resources Inc. layoffs

Stupid decision #5

How about maximizing shareholder value by building a $40m State if the art building/office in Katy and NOT building 1 office for corporate and minions. We all know PH and crew don’t want to park their Bimmers nor drive out of the Woodlands. Way to maximize shareholder value mates! Dumb and Dumber does it best

Speaking of buildings or in this case a would be building . For our boy , the more things change the more they stay the same. Back in March 2014 when he thought everything was going to the moon ( remember he came from a wholesale chem com in St Louis,Mo- the Heart of the Oilfield and a printer cartridge company) Again in the oil field. He bought himself a 32000 sq ft lot in Carlton Woods (not on golf course or water) but completely full of trees. Now Ready for the BIG house. Only thing is here comes June 2014. Oil world changes. Bottom line - pays $800K for lot. 18 or so months later- decides he does not want lot (affordability?) and tries to sell for $825K. Goes 12 months or so -NO buyers. Takes it off listing for 6 months and then relists at $900K. Yes $900K now and no buyers after 85 or so days and peak selling season is now fully in rear view mirror and the next season is 6 months away. And after Harvey. But Still down about $40-45K or so in property taxes and maintenance fees since 2014. (and the bill keeps running) Oh BTW, the property (land) is appraised by Montgomery County Appraisal District for 2017 at $515,000. (This is not a misprint). BTW - for those that do not know- Carlton Woods in not in River Oaks or West U. And the lot clearing of the trees for future home is going to cost $$ . Anything sound remotely familiar.

That's an interesting story, isn't it? Perhaps if you quit going on about the bad you would see the good. There is not one fluids company doing better. You might say thank you if you are still an employee.
