We are always the first to go - it happened again - if you are a contractor with Lenovo you are likely out sometimes in October. My personal departure date was set for Friday October 13. I am negotiating an extra week (as the transition will be very hard) - the Director is not budging and she told me that she had no options and that Lenovo wants me out on that exact day.
I am financially set and past my retirement mark, money really does not factor in here for me but I think they are so desperate to cut costs that they are now making foolish business decisions (it'd be much more prudent for them to keep the knowledge and transition me properly).
I'll move on, but Lenovo - Lenovo will have some major problems going forward.
