Using Asset Protection and Cabela’s in the same sentence is an oxymoron. For the last eight years of its existence Cabela’s has said “FU” to it’s greatest Assets and that was its Employees. For the last eight years around Cabela’s it was a$$ protection, and for those of us that were smart we had your own protection plans. We kept our cheeks clenched so not to take it in the a$$.

Every retail operation does not have a form of AP, it's all about dollars and cutting cost. While the former Cab locations may have some form of it will be nothing like it was. If you are in an AP position with Cabelas you're kidding yourself that it's business as usual no matter what upper management says - EVP and Chief over AP gone...... read between the lines and do what's right for you and your family. Couldn't be happier since I've been gone from Cabelas
They do...they call it security management. Every retail operation has Asset Protection, they just call it something different. Any store would be foolish NOT to have it.
