Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Time to update your resume

First of all, good luck to everyone. Second of all, if you think all is well, you are severely naive. People posting "negative stuff" on this site are probably trying to look out for people. If it's negative, then people get upset that we are not having faith...if it's positive they get bashed for being koolade drinkers.

Coming from a person who has been through 2 layoffs and a restructure, you should be looking for a new job. Common sense says so but I can understand why the blinders are on.

This is business, people, nothing matters but money.

Plus, if BP doesn't get their stuff together and realize what the future is, you will be out of a job anyway. Start looking elsewhere!!!

Sound words from @Psxkhw8-1iog. In a situation like this, being realistic is of crucial importance. Denying what is obviously going on and what is coming will only hurt you in the log run.

To be fair, the people that could leave, left.

The rest of us need a paycheck as long as we can get it.

We can't easily just move on. If you have your house paid off, what do you do. Just board it up and leave a couple hundred grand to rot away.

It's not so simple.

F Cabela's...they ruined my life!!!!!!

Realistic- Correctly assessing your current situation.

If you're hanging over a 500 foot cliff by your fingernails, it is not "negative" to be scared.

Only a delusional fool would say that.

Realistically, Cabela's is going down, that is obvious to anyone who's objective about this circumstance.

Make plans accordingly.
