Hopefully this RIF will include management also. The alignment effort when RFMD acquired TriQuint was weak and resulted to far too many tiers within the org. We now have Directors reporting to Directors and Managers reporting to Managers. Nobody wanted their folks to be "demoted" so we've created this bizarre org structure with far too many levels. If we want to be a lean org, there should be no more than 6-7 levels between a newb Operator, at any site, and Bob.
Agree with you completely, @PsT8Frg-1swu. What we have right now is mildly put ridiculous. If they are laying people off, then they really have to deal with the management mess in the process.
