I presume that the executive team and the vice-presidents will be gone after today? I'm thinking that was part of an older SEC filing, but... I can see a few other people getting laid off today, but I can't see many being let go until after the Christmas holiday. We're in the prime of the hunting seasons so there should be an all hands on deck call to keep things going. When things slow after the new year, then I could see things happening with more rank and file employees. Bummer that it's Bass Pro after today.

Ain't nothing like an OVERPRICED "bait-shop" for s---ers... and investors...
I agree, look up. But you should not wait around and assume that BP will have jobs for everyone...they will not. They didn't buy Cabelas to be nice and say "awe...he/she is so nice and say nice things about us... let's find a job for them. Cabelas had a terrible history of doing that exact thing and ended up having too many people doing the same job, people making WAY too much money, putting unqualified people in bad positions, and not getting any return because they were "taken care of".
They will probably make those hefty salaries (way above industry standards for a lot) disappear very soon as they are now on the hook for them.
This is about business and making money, nothing else. You are quite...ummm...naive (trying to be kind knowing the thin skinned readers here) if you think BP will have a job for you. There are thousands of companies out there, you should have been exploring them 6 months ago and especially now.
I agree with the reply. Both companies have great people. I hope no one at BPS thinks that a majority of the Cabela's employees are like the complainers on this site. Reading over the posts of the past several years, I'm embarrassed to have worked with some of these people.
I'm looking forward with open eyes...nothing else I can do.
I love bass pro thy have awesome people. Cabela’s has really great people as well! Should be great for everyone in the long run.
