We know there is a lot of talk regarding portfolio simplification and XIO will probably be the first one out of the door. I don't think it will happen any time soon though.
They will look at customer adoption for XIO v2 first and will try to make some more money before deciding what to do with it.
I work in the qa space in the Franklin factory. We've been told that our x2 equipment will be the last xio hardware we test with.
