Should we be expecting any more layoffs today, or was yesterday it? Yesterday was nerve wrecking enough, not sure I can take another day of anticipation. I feel for all the people who lost their jobs, I hope you land on your feet and find a better company that will treat you better than DeVry did.

Wow, the Silver Bullet won't slow you down! But the decepticon shield might....
this is the same company that hired a manager to work on "rebranding" the EIS program "vertical" who previously did branding for Coors lol
@PoqLFhm-1jgv, you are so right! It tells us something about the company when they will put people like that in management positions and then promote them. It proves that they care more about appearance than substance but we already knew that.
can you send the full Chicagoland admin/group link? Would like to honor the fallen
spotted the names in the chicagoland admin/group...
If you look at the names for the newly created Central Administration, they make the real Mafia look like saints-completely dishonest, untrustworthy, and they would sell their mothers if they had to especially AK and TZ!!
That's almost never how it seems to work. They don't care about the person, just the position. If you are in the wrong spot st the wrong time you are out of there. Taking a promotion can be hazardous to your careeer. You don't ever want to be a Dean or Assistant Dean, they clean out those positions every 5 years.
i suspect there is some kind of inner mafia inside the dv management. some people would have their positions eliminated but would still get other job openings inside the organization.
Are you kidding? The layoffs will never end until the last person shuts out the lights. It's only a matter of time.
I got let go a few months back. Got a new job that was a lot better and paid more starting than I was making at devry after several years. Believe me there are better things out there. Getting let go from that hell hole was the best thing that happened to me.
To those affected by the lay off, trust me - there are a lot better things on the horizon if you know where to look.
