They are going to put Intel in a world of hurt with higher performing x86 chips. Not to mention much better GPUs.

No I'm not worried, intel will always be world leader. I will create Intel logo lead when Intel can not keep density lead, just as I created density lead when I lost process lead now.

Tick Tock Tock Tock pretty much sums it up. Intel missed completely on 10nm requiring late insertion of Kaby and Coffee.
Amazing that anyone from TMG or LTD could get on stage and talk about their leadership. Wonder what their employees think about working for people that do that.

Tipping point has been past, but the intel Gumps sadly don't know, or maybe we should feel pity for their ignorance and stupidity
But Intel is late on 10nm which is a more fair compare against their 7nm.
Also TSMC 10nm is slightly better than Intel 14nm and that is already shipping in volume with iPad and iPhone.
No, I am not worried, because I know the difference between how TSMC defines 7nm and how Intel defines 7nm.
Canon and Ice are so late, Intel needs the 2nd Tock on 10nm before the Tick Tock as Kaby and coffee pretty much slotted in time was where Canon and Ice were sitting on roadmaps four years ago

AMD taped put their 7nm Testchip in Jan 2016 ... By the time cannon lakes launches, AMD will have their 7nm counter punch ready ..
