Anybody knows if Juniper ever offered voluntary layoffs to people? With all the job insecurity, low morale, and barely any benefits anymore, I'd jump at the opportunity. I am looking for a new job as it is, but I will admit to being too afraid to quit without any kind of a backup. I know, it's a pipe dream, but let a man hope.

At Juniper, smoking pole rewards high roles
Sadly, high tech and good english, gets no goals
While layoffs are imminent, increasing our stress levels
It will always remain, just another sh!t hole
"Quality of managers promoted seems to be based not on quality but on who has been s---ing unmentionables of whom for how long, "
That is Juniper culture in a nutshell.
I suspect its worse in EMEA here. Anybody who was any good from a leadership point-of-view is either gone or have been let go. They appear to be promoting managers from Southern European nations where payscale is lower. Cheap does not give quality. Self-serving egomaniacs are taking over, making it impossible for many people grade 9 and below to work. This is supposed to be a Silicon Valley tech company which prides itself on its quality of people . Quality of managers promoted seems to be based not on quality but on who has been s---ing unmentionables of whom for how long, What a disgusting work culture this has become in the last 7-8 months! There is hardly any tech related discussions anymore in team calls, no direction forward from relatively newly promoted megalomaniac manager who can barely speak a correct sentence in English - just politics and management based on fear - being told do task A or else your name may be on the list!
Have been looking for another job for a while and seems like something may break in the horizon soon. Holding my breath so I can also throw in my papers and give the proverbial finger.
Just handed in my paper today. Going to go work somewhere where hopefully the work culture is better and I'll not have to live under the constant threat of getting fired. How can anyone work in this environment with full motivation? Everyone I know is looking for a job.
Don't think so but there will be silent and sudden layoffs.
That would be too logical - no.
