Krzanich made one great move by finally putting Pearson out to pasture. This guy was reactive and rarely did anything innovative with the sales force. He did pretend to fire out of a cannon once at ISMC so I give him credit for that.

Growth quarters are coming to an end. When flat quarters start again, layoffs aren't going to be far off. If my guess is right, HR and business groups will be laying ground work right now ! Unfortunately folks who frequent this board wouldn't be at high enough level to know this .

@1kyc - I know of a whole group of at least 60-70 people that got those notices at my site this past April. Come July, some were able to get another job, some were not (or preferred out). Asuming some 25-50% of those got laid off and this was a common occurrence across Intel, extrapolating to the complete employee base, gives us about 1000-2500 laid off throughout Intel this summer. So don't come bull$hitting a bull$hitter telling us there were no layoffs this year, OP. You must be HR paid shill doing some damage control here.

I was laid off this summer. They are doing it just in onesy twosie mode. They don't want the negative press of big Layoffs, big ACTS. So they are just doing it all different times individual by individual and the severance and medical coverage much smaller than ACT and no buyout option to payout for the 60days you are to be looking for a job.
