Thread regarding Experian layoffs

Fear of layoffs is constant at Experian

You need to watch for layoffs all the time at Experian. Layoffs and outsourcing happen all the time -

you cannot hide from it. The company is in a constant state of re-orgs - this seems to be Experian's core competency - also, we are top heavy, tons of managers who do god knows what.

The departments dont like each other and will openly fight. Turf wars are rampant and there are some seniors folks that do not like each other.

This is all for Costa Mesa, I dont know how it works at other locations.

There are plenty of incompetent managers of various levels (especially regional). Continuous restructuring, changes of strategy, closing offices in a region to re-open them 2-3 years later. Obsolete products, incompetency (due to onscure layoffs) and overpriced in some regions solutions. Overlap of responsibiliies, duties for a region. clients causing rivalry and internal animosity between offices, departments, managers. Irrational layoffs and cost-cutting to be followed by reversed activities. It all creates an unprodictive, inefficient work environment. No benefits would compensate for those...

This place is a cesspool of incompetency! The consumer side of the business (ECS) is a joke. The morale is low and there are tons of incompetent kiss assers. There's so much nepotism that most projects fail because folks bring in other folks who don't know what in the hell they're doing. Leadership is absent because leaders bring in their incompetent friends. The layoffs are a way to either get rid of competent folks (the bar is very low) who are perceived as a threat or to drain the highly paid and low put out swamp.

This exact thing is going on everywhere. Just spend some time on "Latest Posts" for proof.

Something changed in 2017, even good companies turned bad.
