I'm so glad I left! After years of turmoil at HPE, I feel like I have PTSD! What a nightmare Meg has created.

Dec 31st and no 401K match...everything you put in is yours.

HP / HPE greed knows no limits, when violating ethical decency, so long as it is just barely legal. As has been remarked here before, they do the same thing with patent payments. You put in patents, do all the hard work of helping the (sub-contracted) patent lawyers translate your engineer-speak into patent-lawyer speak, and than that's when HPE owes you money. But somehow, they manage to lay you off between the time that the patent submission paperwork is all wrapped up... And when they actually pay your the promised patent reward! That is, they lay you off during the "check is in the mail, wink-wink" time... They keep your patent, and you do NOT get your promised reward for your extra work! ... So do NOT tempt them by putting too many patents in at once! "HP Invent" slogan of old days, is "de facto" replaced, now, by "don't invent too much, or they will lay you off at a strategic time, and rip you off".

I think that his wife maybe had more to do with that than a corporation. He was partying with babes up in his hotel room and was putting it on expenses! His own bean counters busted him.

When this was announced along with the -13% qtr over qtrs going on, it mentally prepared me for the possibility of a WFR after 35 years of faithful service and the reality that it would become a few months later.

Oracle big guy gave him a second chance and he has apparently quietened down these days.
It's not just Meg....remember Mark Hurd? Good grief! This guy cut all the way down to the tea bags/sporks/cups in the breakrooms. I realize that's just perk stuff, but my point is when they get to that point....you know they are grabbing at straws.
