We received an invite for an all hands meeting with the head of MRES on Monday. He is traveling to Bangalore for two days just to announce the new structure. Our incompetent abusive director is laid off unceremoniously. Although no official communication has come on his layoff everyone knows about it. Now BDC storage organization is going to be split into pieces. What needs to be seen is how the leaders of this organization who used to s--- up to this guy and were more or less extensions of his management style behave in the new order. I see these leaders already done a 180 degree turn and blaming their foolhardy leader for all the ills that plague BDC storage. The super techies we get to see are nervous as they now realize they will be measured against real work in the future. No more just PPT and undeserved praise from their manager. The general feel amongst us in the bottom of the pyramid is that we are going to be screwed by the new EMC management and there will be more layoffs. Amen and Om Shanti.

The knockout punch came in late. They should have fired him much earlier. His cronies are still there in the system and it will begin the best interests of the company to knockout these unworthiness.

What does MRES stand for ? Trying to determine whether the news of the abusive director being laid off affects me in anyway. Hopefully in a good way but you guys keep taking about acronyms BDC and MRES which a new guy like me has no clue about.
Agree. If at all BDC storage has to become successful in setting up compellent engineering, there needs to be an overhaul of the useless directors and techies. These folks cannot think beyond headcount and they are a pathetic bunch when it comes to technology.

Tergiversate is appropriate but those people still have jobs. In case of DELL EMC probably that's the right thing to do for survival

We do that in NDC all the time, no big deal. We do things in the best interest of friends and insiders not product and company
