You've probably heard of the 300 and 30 drives from bean counter Bob.I'll tell you now Intel is not going to double to a $300bn company in 2 years. BK can't make that happen. Bean counters definitely can't make that happen.But what Bean counters are good at is s---ing the life out of a company to manipulate figures. Currently spending is 37% of revenue. The target by 2020 is 30%. This year there will be no layoffs as the dream of growth is kept alive. Next year there will be a 15% reduction in head count. Then the same the year after.

The post is correct except for the part of no layoffs this year, cuts are going to happen in Q4. Intel paid Bob $25M to divide one number by the other, and espousing a ratio seems to be his entire vision for the future of computing and technology. No wonder INTC has been dead money for 17 years. Nothing in business is certain but the remaining two certainties at Intel are annual layoffs and double digit raises for BK.
Everyone still fly business class, you should see them all on the flights

Anybody in this CFO role is good with creative accounting and fuzzy math. Their job is to adjust the numbers and create a supporting story just to cover the CEO plan. It's all fixed. Then understand the covers, they layoff their "#1 resource", people.
