@Pf3iun4-vub At Intel you can get $40K off even today.
Btw.: Imagine you have to listen to somebody talking about tech you already got into production several years ago. Yes, you will find out it pointles and you will get bored.

Made at TSMC what a joke is intel's modem business.
Intel moron gets it WRONG again.
Don't you Intel guys get tired of being wrong?
That scenario outlined makes QCOM a monopoly.
Ask Google or Microsoft or Intel in their heyday how eliminating all competitors worked out?
Pretty damn well.
There will always be a natural demand for key technologies. Getting to a monopoly implies you can extract an above-natural amount of value from that demand.
With competitors - the total value is less AND it must get split amongst the players.
You should read Peter Theil where he clearly explains why competition is for losers.
Also, yes... San Diego is awesome.
Thanks,
Your friends at Qualcomm.
It's funny how far Qualcomm arrogance actually goes. I remember going to 3GPP2 standardization about 15 years ago, and I always felt "Wow, those Qualcomm guys are arrogant a-holes." I mean, they were so unlikeable that they were practically the only ones who were never asked to go out to dinner with people from other companies. After a while I realized that the whole company is like that.
And this board just proves it again. If Intel should ever leave the modem business, everyone at Qualcomm will laugh and cheer. Then, the next day, they will be called into their boss's office:
Boss: You know, Intel is out of the modem business.
Qualtroll: Yes isn't that hilarious? Those poor poor Intel idiots. Oh I feel sooooo bad for them! chortle
Boss: Well, you know what that means for you?
Qualtroll: Uh no. What?
Boss: I am cutting 40k from your salary. More cuts to come later.
Qualtroll: What? No! I quit!
Boss: *laughs• Really? And where will you go with your highly specialized domain knowledge?
Qualtroll: Intel! No... wait... what... nooooo!
Boss: By the way, I will cut four people from our team. You will have to work overtime to pick up the slack.
Qualtroll: cries I have a house in San Diego to pay off.
Boss: Hey, cheer up! We won the modem war against Intel!
Qualtroll: yay
Baseband is a very small industry.I hear your first attempt is dead out of the fab...Oh dear
Nah if he were from Qualcomm, he would know that there is not a single phone with a 5G modem on the market right now.
Qualcomm troll!
