I know of two assault s a succide and almost a depression in the housing market and the town of Sidney probably claused by the sad situations in Sidney the last couple years.Most of my fellow employees at Cabelas believe this site has contributed greatly to the current situation in Sidney. I for one does not blame the site for anything if the poster is reporting the truth. If however the poster has been simply making up things this is very depressing I wish the person behind this site could be made public to better understand him.

I remember being in a meeting with who you are referring to as Mr Home Depot - the question was asked why he had a sales meeting in Michigan - come to find out his girlfriend - an employees wife, was in Michigan - Tommy was in the meeting and all everyone did was laugh - a sign of the lack of integrity at the top. Who knows how much it cost to bring everyone there so he could have his fling - sad, sad.
Great points - he is any but a leader - he created a lot of smoke screens to keep his real intent hidden from those who served - his day will come, that we do know. And look at the crew he hired - Mr Walmart, Mr UPS who was useless, Mr Home Depot and the list goes on and on.
I truly believe Tommy was brought in for a reason, and he has succeeded with the task he was given. He has a track record that was well known before he was hired of doing just what he did to Cabela's. The idea of him moving to Sidney was a smoke screen, to make the employees think he had only good intentions for the company. I wonder if part of his 8 million dollar payout package includes Bass Pro buying his house so he doesn't have to worry about how to get rid of it. It's just slimy all around. The problem was the board of directors at the time he was hired (two of which were the Cabela brothers). This will be studied for a long time. I have a book about the first 50 years of the company...The final final 6 is a tragedy.
This site has caused no issues - in fact it has been so helpful to so many of us such that we are actually aware of what is going on - the real problem was Tommy and his lack of leadership - that why we are here today - nothing else!
For the people that keep saying Sidney will survive. Can you elaborate? What is going to be the source of income for the city if it's residents aren't bringing in Cabela's income any longer? Seriously. I know people keep saying we'll survive but nobody is offering up any legitimate reasons as to "how" it will survive. I'm not trying to be pessimistic, just trying to engage an honest conversation.

Let's not panic, Sidney survived long before Cabelas and will survive after Cabelas. People, no rumors here, your lives will change.
If I was employed there I would believe the comments on this site over management. Read between the lines and watch how management acts. The lies will catch up with everyone eventually.
I think it's Cabela's actions that are causing the issue ...not this site.

That means the site was registered via Google service, not that Google owns it. And what do you mean by enormous impact? This is a rumor site, so everything written here should be taken with a grain of salt. And an average thread here has just a few hundred views, and I'm guessing most of them don't even live in Sidney.
Google owns this site. Easy to find out who registers a website if you try.
Putin and the Russian government administer this site. And they elected Tump and created hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Sarcasm off... YOU and I and everyone else that posts here is what matters. Who the hell cares 'who' is 'behind it'. Get a life.
An ananomous website is not to blame for assaults, suicide, or economic depressions. How juvenile to even suggest it. If you don't like what is written, don't read it. If you do read it and it bothers you, grow up and learn to cope.
This site is just a venue for people to get real info out about what's really going on with layoffs as opposed to the lies told by corporations.
If people become angry or depressed it's not this site's fault, that's their response to reality.
