Dear TWC folks -- get ready for some big changes once the deathstar takes over.
As one of the few post-merger surviving Directv employees I can tell you that AT&T is a horribly run, heavy-handed, micro-managing, bureaucratic nightmare. Innovation, independence, imagination, and invention are not welcome. John Stankey (your new boss) likes to think of himself as some sort of visionary, but the truty his he's a bean-counting hack with absolutely no creativity. Worse, the drones in positions of power at AT&T like to think they know everything, which ends up killing morale and performance when it turns out they have no idea about the business they just bought.
Let Directv be a warning to you: they took a thriving, well-respected, popular company that employees loved and turned it into a salt mine.
I'm sorry to say, you're next.
