Severance Pay is still outlined on HR page in Sharepoint. I just checked.
Removing it would give those with many years experience no reason to stay since they can probably get more pay elsewhere. It is capped at 26 weeks of pay so it's not like someone is getting years of pay. And since sabre is known to be a hire and fire company the new people won't get much if any severance and sabre gets to keep any unvested 401k benefits, with the new hires being cheap to begin with you see why they hire and fire.
Layoff during Oct 1st /2nd week is confirmed at least in blr....HR and finance team is busy preparing exit papers...right now 50 (counts) are confirmed. ...people can check these guys they are in conf room near 2nd floor...Near IT helpdesk
Town Hall set for Oct 12th. Just a few days after another mass layoff? I will bet it's a "hard decisions were made" let's keep moving along with plans. This will be followed by cries of "how do we get critical projects done with a lower headcount?" The reply will be smoke and mirrors.
Oh yeah, it does sound much better in MVD. But try to get another job that pays the same after you leave... you won't. So basically what we get, will be used to compensate the difference in salary in another job. If you do get one.
In DFW, TX severance is paid only after you sign a loooong document where you accept all the liabilities, and agree on many things such as you, your descendants, or even your relatives cannot sue Sabre. Therefore for US employees severance is not a benefit, it is a liability.
So move out from TX xD
What are the severance deals in other locations like BUE, BLR, KRK, LON, SIN etc?
Sounds much better in MVD than in DFW!
What is the benefit to spread the rumors like this? Don't you have to more serious things to do?
In MVD severance is mandatory by law. One month salary per year worked with a limit of 6. Also we have 6 months of unemployment benefit.
They do get severance
