Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

People who read these posts should share their experience with others

If you silently suffer and take the abuse then you are part of the problem. I read some of the posts and it is heart wrenching. It is important for some of the existing employees who are still part of Teradata to share their brothers and sisters who were let go by dumb managers.

Cost cutting is good but when you let go some of the valuable experienced technical resources then the ability of the companies like Teradata survive is difficult. If the goal is to be true analytics company then retain the talent and use them wisely, provide them a career path instead of cutting them off to save costs. PS resources carry their own weight so why cut them?

Treat older employees with respect which they deserve. They have spent lot of valuable years with the company and sacrificed a lot to stay away from the family to be billable and cutting them without notice is cruel.. in army they give people honorable discharge here the notice is 2 minutes..

I agree with "If you silently suffer and take the abuse then you are part of the problem." But a lot of people are afraid to do something about it. I spoke out about the abuse I took for my manager not once but twice. All that got was black listed and if you don't think black listing is real. It's very real I spoke to another manager about it and he confirmed that the mangers have a meeting once a week and discus employee's who want to move to different positions. I those meeting that is where you will get Black listed. My point is this I have seen employee's take all the abuse and give up everything for the company there the one's who well liked and get any position they want. The employees that stand up for them self's are black listed and are stuck in the same position or they find way of letting you go.
