I had major back surgery in June. I was told after FMLA expired Dell will continue to allow me to receive STD. I received certified letter today stating since I am not available for employment I will be terminated next week (FMLA expires next week). Legally I guess they are in compliant but when Dell says they are concerned about their employees and wellness that is a bunch of bull. I never got an email from my manager or HR to ask about my health and surgery. They took information from STD about surgery and surgeon's notes and decided to terminate me.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but you (and me) are just minor cogs in a giant gear. If one gets chipped or rusty, you cut it out of the gearbox. Nothing devious about this. It is just the reality of business. Always has been; always will be.
What a disgrace DellEMC is.. shame on the whole leadership team with fat paychecks and huge bonuses.. this is 19th century corporation..
file a complaint with the right body, not here.
If you feel you have been wronged, file a complaint with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
I feel sad and depressed reading your story. Huge corporations with their focus on profits have no humanism left in them. I am disheartened to that I work for Dell. Shame.
It's not ideal but I think you're entitled to continue to make payments for STD and LTD premiums and receive it even if terminated.
