Team it is most important that we focus on the big picture here. We are a leader in our industry and we can seize on the failures of the competition. We will continue to rollout new initiatives that are firsts in the industry. Let’s focus at the store level, managing controllable expenses and drives sales 2 plus 1. You should know that you are representing the best in the autotive aftermarket and our competitors fear us. We have a once in a lifetime opportunity as investors in the company and with the discounted stock purchase options I recommend buying as much as possible. This will give you ownership and your vested interest will help maintain a positive and healthy attitude.

Worked at AAP for 7 years as CAM after they purchased our 55 store chain. After I saw the destruction of the business in the short time during the conversion I took my severance and left. After 6 years the old team had began to be a factor so I took the CAM position. It did not take long to know that you had to drink the kool aide to survive. The personal in corporate begin to change to non automotive and things began to tumble. I knew it was bad when the product manager asked me to help him as he was new to his POSITION and did not know anything about filters.
Seems as things have just continued to spiral down. I left in 2014 and worked with Zone for a year before retiring. Huge difference in upper management and corporate.
Darn, looks like the corp PR office is posting on here regularly. We'll have to find another source for the truth.
Hire back the ones let go, what happen to pulse survey?
No one read it!
This post proves just what type of management we are dealing with.
We all know what is going on at the store level. No inventory in the supply line, no quality experienced help, no understanding of the commercial customers needs.
No hours available for full time employees. No quality product training. No consistency and follow through with any programs, turnover rate at an all time high !
All of these things effects the stock value and the stock is going up q1!
Don’t know what these guys are smoking but it’s got to be some good stuff!
Put your boots on because it’s coming down by the buckets full folks!
I spit out my coffee reading the OP. Buy now before for the sale of WorldPac, then sell for a quick buck. Short AAP before Q1 earnings. You're welcome.
There must be some corporate YES MEN posting on here continuing to blow smoke. This company is in trouble and they are cause of it!
Team, teamwork??
There's NO such thing in a "competitive" market/workplace...
Wow. Does anyone buy this truck load of manure? Our competition fears us? Really I shop our customers and they laugh at us.
More talking heads with empty promises and delusions of grandeur, If this companies stock was so great, and the best deal, and we will all make lots of money, do you think some one would tell you that ? Advance is lost, and desperate, and this is a cry for help, sorry, you have screwed me once, you do not get a second chance.
This is pretty sad and you have to ask why someone would post this on a layoff site.
If there is anymore micro-management at the store level, you might as well shut the doors. Giving the best customer service is impossible when you've no help. There is no motivation. Just empty promises.
I just threw up.
Yes, everyone grab an oar and row for all you're worth on the good ship Titanic!!
I couldn’t agree more. I have heard this talk in Roanoke and in Raleigh.
