First off they give you inferior grade tools to open the jacket causing shards of fiberglass from the strength members to tear and fly around everywhere which is a hazard for breathing. Second it has cheap yellow fiberglass hair like fillers inside that you have cut with a scissor to remove and it sticks to your skin causing irritation. Never worked on such crap before. Cablevisions fiber was far superior quality.
Altice needs to change the formula and give better tools.

We have dust masks for you to protect you from inhalation irritants, and work gloves should be worn. Maybe a safety inspection is in order... to ensure all ppe is being utilized. Or you could just wipe your tears, man up and do the job.
Guys are scared to speak up and that is the gist of the problem, and that’s why Altice will walk all over you. If you feel it’s a health issue report it, stop being scared your employer. They have to make sure your working in a safe environment, if they are taking short cuts and you are complying how the f is anyone going to know about it speak up.
