A few people keep posting in different threads about a huge layoff at HPE that took place in the past several days, yet I have heard or seen nothing of it. Anybody knows what that's all about?

correction...
change "some nof us" to 'so many of us'
Correct, the OP never said it didn't happen. But @PWD4MxG-ufl (probably a HR snitch) said it was all damn lies. That is what infuriated some nof us who know first hand about the layoffs that happened in the last 2 weeks
Never said they didn't happen, just that I haven't heard anything about them (and usually we at least hear something through the grapevine even if it's not our group,) hence me asking. Thanks to those who responded with info.
It's damn near impossible to even walk through the hallways without hearing people talking about buddies getting their notice, severance packages, etc.
They are not lies. There were many layoffs across Sales, Marketing, Finance. No one is saying anything but next week there will be announcements. The past two Mondays and Tuesdays have seen hundreds of layoffs. I know.
You dont here about it unless they're in your group. And people layed off still have 2 weeks. Its not like security is escorting people carrying boxes. No public announcements are made. Don't think because you don't "hear or see anything" they aren't or don't happen.
I bet @PWD4MxG-wzf is a darn stooge of the HR . He/She is trying to sow the seeds of doubts on the veracity of the postings in this website.
I say, just bugger off. Your ploy won't work. Go some place else to do your dirty deed.
Layoffs are happening at HPE. It is real.
It's the death of 1000 cuts. They are wfr in small numbers to not draw attention and spread out over several weeks. Also they are not reporting the large number who have left. Ft Collins lost VM ww product manager to competitor.
Years ago there were large groups of WFRs done on a quarterly basis - there was "A" notification date, and that was it - and back then, that level/impact of layoffs made the news. Now it seems like there are many more notification dates for managers to select from. That is why we keep hearing them trickle in every Monday, and you feel like you can never let your guard down. With Tuesday being end of fiscal year, my guess is that the large round of notifications will come on 11/6, 2 weeks notice, with last day being 11/17.
Heard of mostly program managers nationwide. Some from pre-sales even the top performers. I heard of 2 in Ft. Collins. If any, it does not sound like a lot but onesy twosy here or about 2% max the last two Mondays.
What’s wrong with you? You think people are posting these comments and making it all up to make HPE look bad? I’m absolutely floored you even have to ask...
Was there a layoff this week...LOL. Good post Meggot Minion. Good Luck to All!

Layoffs in Fort Collins
It's a tiresome and never ending cycle of layoffs. We've either just got over a bunch of layoffs or we're expecting more to be announced.
How many layoffs have there been since the HP\Compaq merger? Must be well over 100,000.
yo guys are out of your minds or just keeping your heads buried in the sand. Plenty of lay offs happened this Monday and last Monday. And by all accounts there will be more in the coming months.
nope, all lies.
