There were many rumors about major Sungard layoffs in October, but with a few days left in the month, what I saw were only sporadic people being let go here and there, nothing on a larger scale. Did I miss something and my location just got lucky, or are we still looking at more layoffs, only at a later date?

People got let go yesterday, I don’t have too many details but it happened.

Not sure. Frustration is still at an all time high and morale at an all time low. Maybe they ran into some HR issues and needed to delay. Same thing happened with the January 2017 purge. Supposedly they were supposed to happen earlier in January or late December (Merry Xmas!). The US based HR was blind sided with layoff rules in the UK and Canada. Maybe they're waiting to hire a new VP.
