Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

A glance from the HR POV

Here is the list of our problems - no switch will fix this:

  • We've had multiple rounds of layoffs this year, 2018 will be even worse. Strategically, we do not have a product/service that will turn things around.

  • Most of our HR leaders have left, more are leaving - ops/bus mgmt is on its own now - this s---s for employees, this will get worse. HR gets no respect, often for a good reason.

  • Not innovating our way to revenue growth so focus on extreme cost-cutting.

  • Myopic, hyper short-term focus prevents strategic positioning and long-term growth - this translates to: We are officially f---ed, there is no turn-around here.

  • Decaying and neglected corporate culture, eroding values, innovation on life support.

  • Scared, passive and often confused HR team - third CHRO in three years fostering environment of deep distrust.

  • Above all, your f---ing talent no longer matters here - it's time to go.

Have a great night peeps, think about this...

HR protects the company, not the worker.

"The Juniper Way" is the biggest joke to mankind. HR does nothing to protect the employees, it protects the company. The way our VP is "managing" people (aka forcing them out) has caused several employees and ex-employees to hire lawyers and/or sign a settlement with the company, and HR supports all the sh-- the VP does. Complaining to HR just quickens your forced exit out of the company. This is the biggest joke of a sh--show company I've ever been at!
