Heard that notifications have already begun for APAC folks. Overall cuts were supposed to be in the 5-8% range, but now due to the Q3 fiasco the layoff numbers are north of 10% globally.

Region is managed by costs and not by pipeline and sales funnel....
Managers do not get it that if you leave customers alone it takes time and energy to on board them again. Account / sales management at its best....

Back in March, some people received 1:1 invitation in the morning. It all depends on how your direct manager chooses to handle this.
Is it confirmed that layoffs are happening? I don't have any clue. Also, who told that cisco and HP will hire the juniper people.
IMHO you are never safe at Juniper. They have been consistently firing people, albeit a few at a time, in EMEA since October 2016.people,including some high ranking ones, have disappeared quietly.

Usually the manager and HR together. The manager reads off a 5 min. prepared statement either over phone or face to face and HR takes over afterwards. In absence of manager, it can also be the Director as appropriate.
