Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

More info on HPE Next and related layoffs

From the article:

HPE kicked off its much-dreaded layoffs globally on Monday as part of its Next overhaul campaign.

The cuts were expected, but still cast a pall over the enterprise IT giant. In June, we revealed the existence of the HPE Next project: a radical three-year plan to overhaul HPE's processes and investments, and optimize its people and overheads to make itself relevant again.

The bloodbath is only starting. Wait until the country close list gets published any day soon. HPE will become a brick seller again where the word solution is only a lip service to sell bricks with packaged services. From the new leadership crew, almost nobody understands the project or consulting business, and worst of all they do not care.

Yet another bloodbath here at HPE yesterday October 23, 2017. I’m a “lucky” one. No WFR. Yet. On the Storage side, apparently it is Nimble mgmt to the rescue. The new kids on the block will fix all the problems and processes. Legacy HP(E) and you are out... reminds me of when Compaq bought HP with HP’s money and then along came 3PAR. Good luck boys from Nimble... Hope you guys got some sweet stock in the acquisition, and it’s still worth something in about 9 months, because you’ll be dying, DYING, to get the heck out of HPE next...

I strongly think the 5000 WFR rumor back in Sep was a deliberate leak by the clueless management. They will do anything to get the stock price up which in turn embellishes they own wealth.

The 'remain focused' sermon by the ceo was just a ploy to avoid a complete derailment of the Q4 performance. Their modus was to squeeze out the last ounce from everyone before starting the booting process towards the end of October. Most ruthless bunch of people at the top.

So much for Meg and her "remain focused" email from September denying that the rumored WFR figures had come from someone in HPE.

Looks like the 5,000 figure is going to be correct after all, maybe even on the low side.
