Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

If you got wacked, here is a very useful sit to give 10 minutes.

Things I would add:

cash in your reward points.

get a private email.

Keep your phone number. The password is not specific from corporate (re: verizon) but looks like something. login bob and password bob will work fine.

get a personal pc asap.

When you are sitting, with your second beer, remember. No more fpr's, VOW's, cold/hot computer rooms, managers asking what you want to do in the next 5 years, no more blast leads, standby, missed responses, parts snafu's, No more risk of WFR, Clickmobile, You will get another job and, if they hire you, you are more wanted by them then HPE.

Life will be different but not worse.

I was wacked in June, the shock has been overtaken by euphoria.

RoVer.

@when-will - I'm pretty sure that unvested options disappear once you have been let go. However anything that has been vested will remain in your stock account and can be sold when you want.

What happens to the unvested stock options? I just have a measly 42 shares. Do they become vested after termination or I have to wait.

Yes. You are right. Let's just say that the same people are making the decisions and the same politics are firmly in place. Therefore, things will continue business as usual at this company. Don't worry about it any more. It's like walking away from constant drama. Drama is unhealthy.
