Anyone else pick up on that "little tidbit" in the SAM Highlight video? Let's see what they say in the Office Hours call tomorrow - should be "interesting".

I work for HPE India. I am not interested in the severence pay they provide. However, Employees here are trapped with long notice period if anyone wishes to quit voluntarily.
Industry standard in India is just 1 month notice for voluntary exit. But, HPE India working against industry standards by one sided agreement which requires HPE employees to serve notice period of more than 1 month.
Group of employees(not employee union) would represent against their one sided agreement to Labour Ministry. This is invalid agreement as it is one sided and accounts to bonded Labour. It is also against free competition and leads to talent suppression.
HPE, why do you want to operate in India if you are unable to follow local regulations?

- Yep, you're right - I don't have the "balls", since I am a female..... oh, and I'm 40 (not 50) with 20 years of service....
Quote - "Ironically, that’s exactly why HPE is dying; the entire workforce is driven by surviving rather than doing."
- Oh, looks like you are wrong.... again. I am ranked as "accelerating" and have always been top ranked. I give my all each and everyday - but that doesn't make me feel any less "trapped" (maybe I feel trapped because I know my time is coming, but I will continue to be loyal till the end)
Keep up that fantastic attitude you have though - sounds like it's really working for you!

And staying just for stock options and a four month severance? Please. You are no better than Meg just at a smaller scale; all you care about is money and your fear of not having enough drives every decision, and you’ll keep working and whining and being miserable for the privilege, instead of trusting yourself or taking a chance. Ironically, that’s exactly why HPE is dying; the entire workforce is driven by surviving rather than doing. Anyone who could leave and change the world already did.
If you don’t respect yourself enough to leave that disaster, that’s fine, but quit wasting my time with exscues and comments about being trapped.
The self review was optional because some beam counter was doing it instead of your manager. So, it wasn't necessary.
Actually they are 2 different things "HPE Next" is the future plan for the company. "HPE Pointnext" is the new name for the TS Services organization. (or the way I see it.... HPE Next is the sh--show and HPE Pointnext is the next planned spinoff) Cheers!
If you thought you’ve seen the worst of HPE layoffs already... just take a look at the slides that were shared today (Oct 19th) to the investors.
This is not difficult to visualize. Take a quick look at the 4 closest peers you have by your side right now... Only 1 of you will still be employed by HPE by the end of Q4 FY20 (IF HPE still exists by then). If you firmly believe you will be that sole survivor, I have bad news for you...
it is HPE POINT next
This might might sound weird to some of you... but I feel now SO HAPPY that I was involuntarily kicked out to Micro Focus...
If Meg (or her soon-to-be replacement -aka Antonio) really executes HPE Next, the remaining Company will have no more than 1/4 of its current employees. I still find incredible how this woman was able to destroy Hewlett Packard legacy (and get away with it!)
I totally agree - I feel trapped in a sense as well. Too much to lose to walk away from my "at some point" severance package (too many years of service, too many long term stock awards, etc, etc) I just sit and watch the sh!t show unfold before me (oh, yes, and don't forget to keep that positive attitude too) The FPR process this year is laughable - totally optional for you and/or your manager to write comments - that tells me that basically they don't want to "waste the time" in October/November on people that won't be here in November/December. sigh
HPE Next will be so B-R-U-T-A-L that I can’t even visualize how we’re going to implement it during the next 3 years at the same time we ship customer orders. This will be insane (and I don’t think ‘insane’ is even the right word to describe it).
I don’t know about you guys, but sometimes I feel “humiliated” by HPE. I feel like trapped in h e ll, trying desperately to get out of here. I just want to get out!! Sigh...
My read is they have set aside about $700 million for "work force adjustment/optimizing". I think that is a euphemism for WFR.
