It's almost impossible to know the exact numbers, because CDK would never actually take responsibility for the actions it's taking to migrate its staff to India, but a person I spoke to under the condition of anonymity described the staff reduction as "upwards of 500" employees. Many were extraordinarily talented engineers whose contributions to the company were, in her words "of inestimable value."
CDK is nearing the moment of sale, she said, and as such will be accelerating staff reductions cyclically, perhaps monthly. A sad end to a once strongly forward looking company.
