Thread regarding Viacom Inc. layoffs

Viacom missed out, now we are paying for it

It's a shame when anyone gets laid off. But after 15+ years I have seen how this company works. Sumner and his over-paid minions missed the boat BIG time over the years and we're all paying for it. Channels will either get sold or a big video or communications company will buy what's left of it. MSOs don't like us and for good reason. Cord cutting, lame content, no mobile plan, high carriage fees and bad management are what's on the menu.

Bumped from @PLOuEvT-1ccv. On point.

This whole place has been circling the drain for years. You have 100 year old Sumner and butt buddy Philippe who for years had each other's back. All the while they neglect their core business while the competition zips past us. The signs were THERE, but as bank accounts got lined with big salaries, those two dumb-dumbs had their heads up each other's a--. The company could have been so great...there used to be great excitement and creativity, but alas here we are. Morale stinks and no one seems challenged. For so many people it's just to pay the bills.
